To comprehensively enhance the strategic execution capabilities and leadership effectiveness of its management team, CIMC Engineering & Technology held a three-day specialized training workshop titled “High-Performance Execution Workshop” from January 20 to 22. The workshop featured a tightly packed and logically coherent curriculum that integrated self-awareness, strategy implementation, team execution, and practical tools and methodologies. It was designed to help managers move from “knowing” to “doing,” thereby bridging the “last mile” in strategy execution. A total of more than 30 mid- and senior-level managers and core business personnel from the company participated in this training.

On the first day of the training, Mr. Meng Qinghao from CIMC Academy led everyone in reviewing “Self-Awareness and the Essence of Leadership.” He emphasized that the essence of leadership lies in recognizing patterns, identifying key contradictions, staying focused on the right direction, and clearly defining objectives. Following this, the trainees delved deeply into their individual 360-degree leadership assessment reports. Through an in-depth analysis of the assessment data, participants revisited the core essence of leadership: putting people at the center. Guided by the instructor, the trainees engaged in profound personal reflection around the six key dimensions identified in their assessment reports, candidly examining their own shortcomings in areas such as “empowering others,” “communication and feedback,” and “strategic vision.” This session not only helped managers gain a clear understanding of their “true selves” but also provided a well-defined path for subsequent skill development, marking a shift from “management based on intuition” to “improvement driven by data.”

The day after the training, Teacher Liu Hui from CIMC Academy delivered a course on effective execution. The focus shifted from the “individual” to the “organization,” with an emphasis on how to translate strategy into concrete results. The course introduced the “Five Leaps from Strategy to Results” model, systematically outlining the logical chain for implementing strategy. Following that, the instructor provided an in-depth explanation of the “Four Principles for High-Performance Team Execution,” accompanied by specific tools and methodologies.

The participants focused on learning how to set “critical goals” for their teams based on the business plan, how to translate these goals into actionable key initiatives, and how to maintain team morale and focus by establishing an “incentive-based scoring system” and a “regular accountability framework.” Throughout the learning process, each group engaged in lively discussions and, drawing on the company’s 2026 General Manager’s guidelines, selected a specific goal that their team must achieve in the first half of the year. Using the SMART principles, they meticulously refined the goal’s timeline, action breakdown, and achievement criteria, ensuring that the goal was both challenging and highly feasible.

On the third day of the training, the instructor further deepened the practical approach to effective execution, with a particular focus on the key levers for ensuring WIG achievement. By revisiting and refining the concepts of leading indicators, goal alignment, accountability mechanisms, and scoring frameworks, participants learned how to identify critical points and control key milestones throughout the dynamic execution process. During the summary session, each group presented their learning outcomes from the past two days. Each group had formulated its own WIG targets, not only specifying concrete execution strategies but also expressing their unwavering determination to achieve these goals.

General Manager Zheng Zhijun gave an insightful commentary on the reports presented by each team. He fully praised everyone’s deep thinking and practical approach demonstrated during the training, and emphasized: “The success of a strategy doesn’t lie in its perfection, but in the firmness of its execution. I hope everyone will take what you’ve learned from this training back to your respective positions, truly apply it to tackling business challenges, and use concrete results to prove our growth.”

This training is not merely a transfer of knowledge—it’s also a transformative experience that refreshes our minds and unites us in action. Through three days of immersive learning, the participating managers have clearly defined their personal development paths and mastered a scientific methodology for turning strategy into tangible results. We are confident that, on their future journey, this refined management team will, with even greater conviction and more professional expertise, lead their teams to overcome challenges and jointly embark on a new strategic course toward 2026.
