On January 6, CIMC EnTech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CIMC EnTech"), a subsidiary of CIMC Enric, successfully held the Biomass Green Energy Technology Seminar in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province. With the theme of "Co-building a Green New Ecosystem", the seminar focused on cutting-edge technologies of biomass green energy, especially the whole industry chain development of green methanol. Mu Yang, Secretary-General of the Energy and Chemical Engineering Branch of China Energy Conservation and Cleaner Production Association, was invited to host the event. The seminar attracted more than 200 representatives from over 80 clients engaged in energy production, chemical manufacturing, engineering design, equipment technology and other fields. Senior executives including Yang Xiaohu, Executive Director and President of CIMC Enric Holdings Co., Ltd., Ju Xiaofeng, Vice President, and Zheng Zhijun, General Manager of CIMC EnTech, attended the seminar and discussed the innovative applications and future prospects of green methanol in energy transformation with the participants.

In his opening speech, Zheng Zhijun, General Manager of CIMC EnTech, expressed sincere gratitude to the clients who have long supported and trusted the company's development. He stated that relying on over 40 years of profound accumulation in process design and engineering innovation, CIMC EnTech has always upheld the enterprise spirit of "Self-Improvement and Pursuit of Excellence" and continued to deepen its layout in petrochemical, cryogenic storage and transportation, clean energy and other fields.

In December 2025, CIMC EnTech completed the construction and delivery of the CIMC Green Energy Zhanjiang Biomass Methanol Integrated Project. The Anji Lingyuan Project delivered in the same year successfully realized the clean conversion of industrial exhaust gas, converting 100% of coke oven gas into usable raw materials, making it China's first demonstration project to achieve the full utilization of coke oven gas. In addition, the company has undertaken a series of large-scale industrial energy projects for Angang Steel, Shuigang Steel and other enterprises, accumulating rich experience in engineering project delivery. This has driven the company to realize an overall leap from a single design service provider to an integrated full-chain engineering service provider, and it has now become an important supplier in the field of core processes and key equipment for clean energy in China.

At the seminar, Yang Yueping, Deputy General Manager of CIMC EnTech, focused on introducing the 50,000 tons/year Biomass Liquid Fuel Project of CIMC Green Energy Low-Carbon Technology (Zhanjiang) Co., Ltd., which was independently designed and constructed by the company under EPC general contracting. The project has been successfully put into production and achieved continuous and stable operation, making it pioneering large-scale projects in China to realize a closed loop of the whole industry chain from "biomass waste" to "green methanol" and then to "shipping fuel". This successful practice fully demonstrates CIMC Enric’s independent innovation capability and integrated solution strength in the fields of core processes, key equipment and system integration for clean energy.

In the special technical sharing session, the seminar invited distinguished experts to deliver in-depth explanations and exchanges on various topics, including Zhu Zhiping, Researcher of the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Zhao Dequan, Chief Scientist of the Technology Innovation Sharing Center of CIMC Enric Holdings; He Maojun, Deputy General Manager of the Technology Innovation Sharing Center of CIMC Enric Holdings; Li Dong, General Manager of CIMC Green Energy Low-Carbon Technology Co., Ltd.; and Ren Jian, Chief Engineer of the company. The topics covered biomass thermochemical conversion fuel, carbon emission technology and system integration, solutions to key issues in green liquid fuel production and carbon dioxide capture technology, building a best practice for end-to-end digitalization of green energy based on scenarios and enabled by intelligence, challenges and opportunities for the development of the green methanol industry, and discussion on green methanol sustainability certification rules.

The content covered multiple dimensions such as technological R&D, project practice, standard certification and digital empowerment. These in-depth technical exchanges not only deepened the participants’ understanding of the development of the whole green methanol industry chain, but also provided important ideas and references for technical cooperation and innovative applications in the industry.

In addition, experts from research institutions including the Technology Research Institute of Guangdong Energy Group, Guangzhou Measurement and Testing Technology Research Institute, China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., and the Beihang-Shanggao Transportation Energy Integration Research Center also attended the seminar on site.

In his concluding speech, Yang Xiaohu, Executive Director and President of CIMC Enric Holdings Co., Ltd., stated that addressing climate change and promoting green transformation have become a global consensus and the core of China’s "Dual Carbon" strategy. CIMC Enric is unswervingly committed to becoming an important participant and solution provider in the global energy transformation, and takes "Making Energy Cleaner, Making the Environment Better" as the company’s responsibility and vision.
“The successful commissioning of the biomass methanol project and the coke oven tail gas integrated project shows that the company has fulfilled its commitments to customers and the green low-carbon industry as scheduled in 2025. In addition to the smooth commissioning and stable operation of the projects, CIMC Enric is also actively and comprehensively promoting our key equipment, general contracting of core processes and integrated digital solutions to empower the green energy transformation and upgrading of the entire industry,” said Yang Xiaohu.
