CIMC EnTech, formerly Nanjing Yangzi Petrochemical Design & Engineering Co., Ltd., originated from the Yangzi Petrochemical Design Institute of Sinopec Group, established in 1983. In 1993, it was approved by the Ministry of Construction as a Class-A design institute. In 2011, the company joined CIMC Group as a whole and is now a member enterprise of CIMC EnTech Holdings Limited.
CIMC Engineering & Technology is an engineering company that integrates project consulting and planning, technology research and development and transfer, engineering design, project management, general contracting for construction projects, and technical and management services for engineering projects. The company primarily serves industries including petrochemicals, coal chemicals, natural gas engineering, cryogenic storage and transportation, and green energy. Over the past four decades, CIMC Engineering & Technology has successfully completed a wide range of large-, medium-, and small-scale chemical and petrochemical projects, including polyethylene/polystyrene plants, delayed coking units, catalytic cracking units, domestic first-of-its-kind cryogenic storage and transportation systems, liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants and receiving stations, petrochemical tank farms, comprehensive utilization of coke oven gas, green biomass methanol production, and carbon capture facilities. More than 40 of its engineering design and technology development projects have received national and provincial-level awards. The company holds Grade-A engineering design qualification certificates, consulting qualification certificates, as well as licenses for the design of pressure vessels and pressure piping systems. 1983
Company established
The Yangzi Petrochemical Company Design Institute was officially established. Three years later, the Yangzi Petrochemical Company Design Institute was renamed the “Yangzi Petrochemical Company Design Institute.” In 1987, it obtained the qualification certificate for a Class B design institute.
1993
Obtain Grade A qualification
The Design Institute of Yangzi Petrochemical Company was renamed the “Yangzi Petrochemical Design Institute.” In the same year, with approval from the Ministry of Construction of China, the Yangzi Petrochemical Design Institute was upgraded to a Class-A design institute.
2002
Independent legal entity
Yangzi Design Institute has been reorganized into a specialized limited liability company and has become a technology enterprise with independent legal status. Nanjing Yangzi Petrochemical Design & Engineering Co., Ltd. (YPDI) has been established.
2007
State-owned enterprise restructuring
On January 8, 2007, the company was restructured into a limited liability company owned and operated independently by its employees, with each employee bearing their own profits and losses. This marked a historic milestone in the company’s development.
2011
Join CIMC
On December 21, 2011, the company officially joined Zhongji Anruike Investment Holding (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.
2022
CIMC Engineering & Technology
Starting April 1, 2022, in accordance with the strategic and organizational development needs of CIMC EnTech Holdings Co., Ltd., the company was officially renamed "CIMC EnTech Engineering Technology Co., Ltd."
2024
Acquire Zhong Lian Sheng
On July 18, 2024, CIMC EnTech acquired the core assets and personnel team of Beijing Zhongliansheng Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd.
