At 10:00 a.m. on July 20, 2026, the commissioning ceremony of the CIMC (Liupanshui) Coke Oven Gas-to-Hydrogen Co-Production LNG Project was grandly held at the project site. Senior leaders including Gao Xiang, President of CIMC Group and Chairman of CIMC Enric; Li Yinhui, Vice President of CIMC Group; Shan Lipo, Assistant to the President of CIMC Group; Yang Xiaohu, President and Executive Director of CIMC Enric; Long Yu, General Manager of Shougang Shuicheng Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., gathered together with the management team of CIMC Liupanshui Company, representatives of CIMC Enric Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. (CET), the EPC general contractor, and all participating construction parties to witness this milestone moment. The project was officially put into successful commissioning as the facility stably produced qualified LNG and 99.999% high-purity hydrogen.

With a total investment of RMB 808 million and a land area of 248 mu, the project will produce approximately 140,000 tons of LNG and 24 million Nm³ of high-purity hydrogen annually upon reaching full capacity. As the first integrated steel-coking project fully independently designed and constructed by CET, the project only took 10 months from construction commencement in September 2025 to commissioning at the end of June 2026. It merely spent 7 days from formal gas feed-in to product output, setting a new speed record among similar projects. During construction, CET overcame numerous challenges such as delays in pile foundation construction, late delivery of core equipment and persistent rainfall. The team coordinated safety, quality, schedule and cost control, achieving zero safety incidents throughout construction. Closely cooperating with internal affiliates including Sanctum, Hongtu and Bengbu Compressor, the project serves as a benchmark for implementing the holding group’s integrated steel-coking strategy.

At the ceremony, Zheng Zhijun, General Manager of CET, delivered a speech on behalf of the EPC general contractor. He extended sincere gratitude to CIMC Group, the holding headquarters, CIMC Liupanshui Company and all partners. He stated that the successful handover of the project fully validates CET’s robust capabilities in independent design and overall EPC management. The management resilience built by the team under an extremely tight schedule constitutes invaluable corporate experience. Going forward, CET will fully support CIMC Liupanshui Company with technical support during trial operation to guarantee safe, stable and full-capacity operation of the facility. Meanwhile, CET will conduct a comprehensive review of project experience to establish a standardized EPC management system, offering replicable solutions for future similar projects. Zheng finally noted that CET will continue to support the Group’s strategy with strong engineering capabilities and contribute to the safe, green and high-quality development of the holding group.
