CIMC Engineering Technology wins bid for nearly RMB 900 million low-temperature ethane storage tank EPC project

Recently, CIMC Anruike Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "CIMC Engineering Technology") successfully won the bid for the second section of the EPC project of Lianyungang Rongtai Chemical Storage Co., Ltd. Tank Farm Project (Phase V), with a contract amount of nearly 900 million yuan. The project is mainly used for the storage of low-temperature ethane, the raw material for ethylene production. After completion, it will greatly optimize the customer's ethylene production process, further improve the yield of ethylene products, and achieve safe and effective reception, storage, and transportation of ethane.

The construction content of this project includes the construction of two new 120000 cubic meter low-temperature ethane concrete fully inclusive storage tanks, supporting loading and unloading ships, loading and unloading vehicles and other process systems, as well as the entire process of engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up feeding, and completion acceptance (EPC) related to all disciplines involved in the construction scope.

CIMC Engineering Technology is a newly established engineering business consortium and development platform by CIMC Anruike on the basis of its former Nanjing Yangtze Petrochemical Design Engineering Co., Ltd. It holds various engineering certificates such as Class A engineering design qualification certificate and Class A engineering consulting unit qualification certificate. CIMC Engineering Technology has been focusing on engineering business for over 30 years, undertaking more than 40 projects in low-temperature storage tank engineering design and EPC general contracting. Its performance covers all types of low-temperature tanks, and more than 20 engineering design and technology development projects have won national and provincial awards.

The Xuwei New Area Lianyungang Petrochemical Industry Base, where this project is located, is one of the seven major petrochemical industry bases in China. The planned industrial scale is 40 million tons of refining, 4 million tons of aromatic hydrocarbons, and 3 million tons of ethylene per year. It is a large-scale integrated refining and chemical base with multiple product chains and clusters. According to the website of Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission, in 2021, key industrial projects in Xuwei New District, Lianyungang City achieved an investment of over RMB 49 billion, accounting for about 36% of the city's industrial investment. It is expected to enter the ranks of billion yuan industrial parks in 2022. At present, CIMC Anruike has undertaken more than ten projects in Xuwei Petrochemical Industrial Base in Lianyungang.
